We at CNI Teachers Training Institute, Kottayam provides D.El.Ed courses for excellent students .In order to make the teacher training programe wholesome effective, need based and practical in nature, the course is decide so that it provides depth and variety to the areas of learning. The two year programme for the D.El.Ed course comprises of 4 semesters on the following subjects:

Club Activities form a necessary part of the teacher training programme and students are assessed individually by their participation and ability in the items included in the social contact activities of the programme. Currently there are nine different clubs operating as follows:

3. Work Experience
4. Nature Club
5. Science Club
6. Mathematics Club
7. IT Club
8. Social Science Club
9. Social Services
All students are expected to all of the clubs. They are also expected to organize and run the clubs with a staff member as the advisor.
Most Cultural Activities are run in groups. Trainees are put in divided into six different groups. Each group is responsible for organizing a cultural programme once in a week.
Apart from the various tournaments for Badminton, Basketball, Kabadi and Traditional games, the annual sports meet is organized to keep the trainees physically fit and skillful.
In order to inculcate the dignity of labor and respect for manual work, every Tuesday, the trainees are engaged in cutting the grass and cleaning the campus. Apart from these activities the institute also organizes a number of programs to observe and celebrate auspicious occasions such as CNI Foundation Day, Onam, Kerala Day, Christmas Carol Service, Teachers Day, Gandhi Jayanthi, Independence Day, Republic Day etc in its style. Performance of cultural events and competitions form an essential part of the learning at the institute.
